Chapter Philanthropy and Service
At Christian Brothers University, Iota Xi works hard to serve both the CBU campus and the Memphis community by raising funds for Breast Cancer Awareness and Education.
Every October, during Breast Cancer Awareness month, we host Think Pink Week. This week is full of fundraising events that get the entire Christian Brothers University campus involved! Our week includes, Pie-A-ZTA, Queso for a Cure, Big Man On Campus, and the American Cancer Society Making Strides walk. Below is a photo of alumnae and current chapter members volunteering at the survivor recognition tent at Making Strides.
In addition to Think Pink Week, we hold multiple fundraising events throughout the year, including Pink Out sporting events, Pink Pancake dinners, and spirit nights at restaurants- just to name a few!
We also participate in a number of other service opportunities for other organizations. Throughout the year there are many volunteering opportunities, which include CBU Serves, making PB&J sandwiches for St. Mary's soup kitchen, working/running in the St. Jude Marathon, and supporting other organizations' philanthropy events.
We believe, through our efforts in service and philanthropic events, our members will have a better appreciation and love for the world around them.
